Fixes and improvements of October 21 and 22

These are the fixes and improvements that reached the game and the website on October 21 and 22, 2026, after the last changelog. Each line is one change, grouped by what the player feels.

New

  • Double drops: the gold monsters drop is now doubled, and the chance of each item in their loot is doubled too.
  • Autoloot next to the corpse: if you have items on your Auto-Loot list, you pick them up just by standing next to the corpse, without opening it. The list opens in the Auto-Loot List window, applies at once and is saved in your browser.
  • Layout saved per character: the arrangement of your windows (columns, order, height, open containers, chat and minimap zoom) is saved per character and comes back as you left it when you log in.
  • Hotbar per character: each character has its own hotbar (all presets, the Shift row and the keys), and it follows changes made in another open tab right away.
  • Blue mana shield: a creature under mana shield now has a blue bubble around it.
  • Moving items between floors: you can drag an item to a visible tile on the floor below or above when there is a line of sight, and throwing onto a house roof seen from outside works.
  • Travel window: boat, carpet and passage NPCs open a window listing destinations with the price of each, with Confirm and Cancel; it opens as soon as you greet the NPC.
  • PVP lock button and version notice: the PVP lock button sits in the corner of the screen (green shield: on, your character does not attack players); and if the game is updated while your tab is open, a “Client Version Obsolete” notice appears in the corner and the page only reloads when you choose.

Spells and runes

  • Wild Growth Rune: the spell (adevo grav vita) now creates 4 runes per cast.
  • Conjure Spear: the spell (exeta con) creates 3 spears per cast.
  • Conjure runes and mana: rune-conjuring spells have new level and mana requirements and yield twice as many runes per cast, and mana regenerates twice as fast for every vocation.
  • Spell levels: 32 spells changed their minimum level, and the Add to Hotbar window shows the right level, mana and vocations for each one (29 spells had wrong data).
  • Runes and food without capacity: conjuring a rune, ammunition or food with no capacity left or a full backpack still works and leaves the item on the floor under your character.
  • Conjuring in Add to Hotbar: ammunition and food conjure spells show in the window list in the same style as rune ones (“Creates 10 arrows”).
  • Only the magic words: casting “utevo lux” shows only the spoken words, without the animated spell name.
  • Field runes: fire, energy and poison field runes and the bombs gave an error and created no field; now they do.
  • Rune cursor: the cursor of the chosen rune also works over the battle list, and clicking a creature in the list no longer cancels the rune.

Combat and monsters

  • Ranged monsters: monsters that attack from a distance keep their distance from the target, step sideways now and then, and the projectile (spear, arrow, energy ball, ice…) shows on the attack.
  • Monster healing: the healing monsters cast on themselves happened far more often than their set chance; it now follows each monster’s chance.
  • Damage fields: monsters without immunity avoid fire, poison and energy fields when walking, wandering and fleeing; if no path avoids them, they stay put.
  • Monsters under 1 hit point: a monster left with less than 1 hit point dies (it used to stay standing with an empty bar, like the Dwarf Guard and the Cyclops).
  • Damage numbers on the right floor: damage, healing and experience numbers only show to those on the same floor, and the red hit inside the wall underground is gone.
  • Paladin skill: the “advanced to Distance Fighting” message no longer shows on every hit; the skills panel uses your real vocation, also after changing it at the Oracle.
  • Blessings: the Pilgrimage and Temple Blessing now exist: with blessings you lose less XP and skills when you die (to a monster or a player); with the full set you keep your items; temple priests sell them and the amulet of loss costs 25,000 gp (15,000 at the Eremo); icons show in the status bar.
  • Skull on login: a saved red or black skull comes back when you enter the game; a white skull no longer does (it used to last the full 15 minutes for no reason).
  • Cyclops and timed ring: the Cyclops no longer stays standing with 0 hit points; the timed ring shows its remaining time as m:ss, live, inside the slot.

Items, loot and fishing

  • Loot in bags: the loot bag drops empty and its contents fall loose in the corpse; the corpse grows with the number of items (up to 255); and the loot message also lists what came inside the bags.
  • Fishing without capacity: with no capacity left for the fish, it drops on the fisher’s tile and the next ones stack on it.
  • Weight when moving part of a stack: moving 1 fish from a heavy stack was refused because the whole stack was counted; now only the amount moved is weighed.
  • Swapping from a corpse: swapping an item from a corpse or the floor with an equipped item in the same slot works.
  • Message colors: level up and skill up show in white, and loot in green, in the on-screen message.
  • Rising numbers: the damage, healing and experience numbers that float up the screen went from 10 px to 12 px.
  • Shovel: the shovel opens the large hole, which takes you down one floor and returns to normal after 10 minutes.

Shops and NPCs

  • Rune prices: shops now sell only the 9 commonly used runes, at new, much lower prices (the Ultimate Healing Rune, for example, costs 60 gp); the Blank Rune and the Antidote Rune left the shops.
  • NPC reply buttons: the server tells the client the buttons for each line (Yes and No, the words the NPC expects), so no conversation is left without a button.
  • Selling to an NPC: the coins from a sale go into the backpack and, if there is no room, into the bags inside, from the shallowest to the deepest, filling the existing stack of that coin first.
  • Priests: the priests’ heal truly heals (up to full health) and shows as a button; it also works below 65% of your health.
  • Rashid, the travelling trader: Rashid changes city each day of the week (Monday in Svargrond, Tuesday in Liberty Bay, Wednesday in Port Hope, Thursday in Ankrahmun, Friday in Darashia, Saturday in Edron and Sunday in Carlin) and only trades with those recognised as merchants; he buys 177 items.

World and quests

  • The Travelling Trader Quest: a new quest with Willard, Snake Eye, Briasol, Miraia and Uzgod (a vase for 1000 gold, scarab cheese for 100 gold, a crimson sword…), with an entry in the Quest Log; the goldfish and the deer trophy can turn up while fishing and in hunters’ and smugglers’ loot.
  • 11 more quests: Annihilator, Demon Helmet, Koshei’s Amulet, Barbarian Test, The Ape City, Unnatural Selection, The Ultimate Challenges (Svargrond Arena), Demon Oak, Behemoth, Draconia and The Outlaw Camp; eight of them appear in the Quest Log, and Hairycles’ Shaman Outfit is only given after you finish the Ape City.
  • Fibula well: the draw wells in Fibula now take you down when used.
  • Roofs and floors: the roof of neighboring houses (such as Central Circle, in Edron) shows again; an open window or door next to you takes the roof away with a soft fade.
  • Windows: clicking a window closes it and clicking again opens it, always the same window (it used to turn into another one on every click); the false “something is blocking” warning is gone.
  • Clicking under a roof: clicking a tile under a visible roof picks the tile on your character’s floor, not the roof’s.
  • Wall lamp: the lit wall lamp no longer flickers.
  • Horse: the horse no longer leaves a rat’s corpse.

Houses

  • Door look: looking at a house door shows the name, the owner, the price and the rent (“Rent: 19100 gold per 30 days”).
  • Price and rent: a house’s price is its size in sqm times 1000 gp, and the rent is charged every 30 real days, with the due date kept per house.

Character, account and client

  • Passwords with symbols: an account created in the game and on the site now has the same password even with symbols like #, &, ; and +; passwords the old game saved cut short are fixed on the first login.
  • Store outfits: store outfits now walk one leg cycle per step, like the others, without the slow gliding from before.
  • Reopen backpack: the Reopen backpack at login option is on by default.
  • Chat: Shift+Up and Shift+Down in the chat field scroll through the messages you sent (commands too); sending from the Console or Loot tab goes out through Default.
  • Clicks and routes: left-click walking avoids damage fields; choosing a target during click-to-walk cancels the route.
  • Mana bar and windows: the mana bar on the name repaints when mana changes (casting, regenerating); the Quest Tracker disappears when you go back to the login screen; the Battle List Filter opens in the center of the screen; the ? button in settings opens an explanation.
  • Enter Name: the field in the Enter Name window comes back empty after confirming, and a rejected name stays for you to fix.
  • Online count: Gods and GMs no longer count in the online players counter.

Website

  • Houses and Guilds: the website has new Houses pages (list with filters, price, rent per 30 days and owner) and Guilds pages (list and detail of each guild).
  • Highscores, 20 per page: the Highscores are paginated, 20 at a time, in the game’s ranking order.
  • Mobile and online list: the website’s menu and tables were adjusted for phones, and the online players list retries and keeps the last good answer instead of showing an error at the first failure. The players record was removed from the site.
